Alexandria City - This hometown of George Washington still maintains its old style as a former port city. Alexandria’s OldTown historic district receives more than 1.5 million visitors, both domestic and international, each year.
Arlington County - Arlington’s residents are among the highest educated in the nation. The county’s location in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area has attracted increasingly diverse residential and commercial development.
Fairfax County - As a major technological hub and most populous county in Virginia, Fairfax has one of the highest median incomes in the country. FairfaxCounty boasts one of the nation’s safest counties of its size. The Fairfax area is also home to Tyson’s Corner, one of the largest retail concentrations on the East coast outside of New York City.
Loudoun County - Loudon County's public schools are among the best in Virginia and the country. America Online's location along with other technological firms makes Loundoun County an international center for business and technology.
Prince William County - With a rich Civil War history, PrinceWilliamCounty is less than 35 miles outside of Washington, D.C. Prince William’s cities provide a wide variety of regional and ethnic cuisine. The area boasts some of the best outdoor opportunities in Virginia and includes some of the best bass fishing in the country.
Stafford County - With its proximity to both Richmond and Washington, D.C. Stafford provides rich history and modern suburban living to its residents. With a more relaxed pace than the majority of rapidly developing Northern Virginia, StaffordCounty remains on the edge of the rapid urbanization to the north. The Marine base in Quantico, Virginia and Interstate-95 continue to bring employment opportunities to the area.
