Woodley Hills is a lovely tree lined community south of Mount Vernon.  Kids walk or bike to the neighborhood elementary school and little league activities.  The middle school is Walt Whitman, which feeds to Mount Vernon High School.  The George Washington Recreation Center is right down the street.

This quite community is between Mount Vernon, George Washington's home, and Woodlawn Plantation.  The bike path that goes to Alexandria and past Rosslyn is a short walk away.  Woodley Hills is not far from Fort Hunt Park, south of Alexandria, where you can enjoy the summer concert series, Sunday walks with the dog, or just take advantage of nature along the river.

Athletics are great for the kids and this Mount Vernon neighborhood is part of the terrific Fort Hunt youth organization...football, lacrosse, and more.  You can find information for many of the athletic teams at Fairfax County Sports Organization Directory.  Woodley Hills is part of the Woodlawn Little League Baseball  organization, and they have their own web site.
