location in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area has attracted
increasingly diverse residential and commercial development.
Fairfax County
As
a major technological hub and the most populous county in Virginia, Fairfax
has one of the highest median incomes in the country. Fairfax County is also one of the nation’s safest counties of its size. The Fairfax
area is also home to Tyson’s Corner, one of the largest retail
concentrations on the East coast.
Loudoun County
Loudon
County's public schools are among the best in Virginia and the
country. America Online's location along with other technological firms
makes Loundoun County an international center for business and
technology.
Prince William County
With
a rich Civil War history, Prince William County is less than 35 miles
outside of Washington, DC. Prince William’s cities provide a wide
variety of regional and ethnic cuisine. The area boasts some of the
best outdoor opportunities in Virginia and includes some of the best
bass fishing in the country.
Stafford County
With
its proximity to both Richmond and Washington, DC Stafford provides
rich history and modern suburban living to its residents. With a more
relaxed pace than the majority of rapidly developing Northern Virginia,
Stafford County remains on the edge of the rapid urbanization to the
north. The Marine Corps base in Quantico, Virginia and Interstate-95 continue
to bring employment opportunities to the area.
