Alexandria Scottish Christmas Walk

This year marks the 43rd consecutive Scottish Christmas Walk Weekend and Parade. Everything begins tomorrow, December 6th Here are just a few of the fun for the entire family:

The Scottish Walk Parade - 11:00 am Saturday
Honoring Alexandria's Scottish history, the parade will include over 100 Scottish Clans, pipe and drum bands, Scottish dancers, re-enactment groups, Scottie dog groups, dignitaries, and of course, Santa Claus will march down the streets of Old Town. Parade begins at Wilkes and South Saint Asaph Streets, and ends at Market Square with a massed band concert.

Annual Holiday Boat Parade of Lights 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm City Marina Docks and Waterfront
The Annual Holiday Boat Parade of Lights begins with entertainment and restaurant tastings on the docks at the City Marina behind the Torpedo Factory Art Center at 105 North Union Street. Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive by Fireboat at 4:15 pm. More than 50 brightly lit sailing and powered boats cruise along the Potomac River for the parade starting at 5:00 pm.
