There was an increase in sold properties compared to July.  The average sold price decreased slightly, days on market increased, and the average sold price to the original list price declined slightly.  With more properties being listed and higher interest rates, the market will slow somewhat as buyers will have more choices.  Based on the rate of sales and the available inventory, the supply is less than three (3) months, making our area a seller's market.

From August 2012; new listings are up 31.8%, closed sales are up 31.6% and the median sold price is up 1.8%.  All are very healthy trends for our area.  Check out our Fort Hunt Market Trends page for more information.
