The 4 Best Golf Courses in Alexandria, VA
Golf saw a sudden surge in popularity in 2020. In fact, between 2019 and 2020, the number of golfers hitting the links increased by about 500,000, according to Golf Digest. So, serious players should educate themselves on the different golf courses that exist in and around Alexandria, including the following popular courses:

Looking "Fore" More?
In addition to these great Alexandria golf courses, there are several other beautiful greens in neighboring cities. One of the best known is the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland, which has hosted several major championships, including three U.S. Opens. This course is just about 35 minutes from Alexandria. Other highly recommended courses to try include:
- Laurel Hill Golf Club, located in Lorton, Virginia
- East Potomac Golf Course, Washington, D.C.
- Westfields Golf Course, Clifton, Virginia
With all of these options (and more) in the area, golfers should still be able to find a tee time in Alexandria, even with the game's growing popularity.
