Hollin Hills is home to seven parks, including Sutton Potter Park and the Wildlife Sanctuary, and the rest of Alexandria’s best parks are just a stone’s throw from the neighborhood. Many residents enjoy taking part in outdoor activities like bicycle riding, trail walking, and hiking. Many people living in the neighborhood are part of the Hollin Hills Pickleball and Tennis Club. The club has several tennis and pickleball courts, including one newly renovated tennis court with additional pickleball lines and a mobile net. Between the beautiful, forested parks lush with native plants and wildlife and lots of sports clubs, residents of Hollin Hills find no shortage of outdoor activities to enjoy.

Hollin Hills is bound by Dyke Marsh Wildlife Preserve to the north and Huntley Meadows Park to the west. Dyke Marsh provides visitors an opportunity to get out on the water, with kayak and canoe rentals available from the Belle Haven Marina. The 1,500-acre Huntley Meadows boasts 12 miles of trails, open fields, wetlands, and forests that are perfect for exploring. As the largest park in Fairfax County, residents can always find something fun to do here.
