Hollin Hills Real Estate Market

Hollin Hills is a community of approximately 450 single-family homes located in the southern part of Fairfax County. The majority of homes in the neighborhood were built between the late 1940s and early 1970s under the direction of architect Charles M. Goodman and the developer Robert Davenport.

The area's mid-century style is hallmarked by glass walls, attractive geometric lines, and seamless inclusion with the surrounding geography. Many homes boast floor-to-ceiling windows that shower the sprawling open floor plans with natural light.

Each home sits on an open lot that merges effortlessly with its neighbor; fences are a rarity in Hollins Hills. Instead, the mature trees provide privacy, whereas the open layout promotes unobstructed views.

Hollin Hills homes for sale often start at $850,000 and can span upwards of $2.2 million. Most houses offer a minimum of three bedrooms and two bathrooms, while the largest estates can have upwards of five bedrooms and five bathrooms.

Hollin Hills Community Amenities

The park-like landscape of Hollin Hills is one of the biggest draws for prospective homeowners. Additionally, the community offers a neighborhood swimming pool and tennis/pickleball court. The seven local parks in Hollin Hills cover 30+ acres, inviting residents to explore their beautiful surroundings on the well-maintained walking trails.

Park conservation and community involvement are prioritized by the Civic Association of Hollin Hills, a volunteer organization that oversees neighborhood operations. They also help plan the annual celebrations for Independence Day and Oktoberfest held in Voight Park.

Hollin Hills is only a four-mile drive from Old Town Alexandria, providing residents an idyllic blend of peaceful seclusion and convenient proximity to the city. From the Old Town area, residents can commute with ease to Washington, D.C., via the King Street Metro Station.

Hollin Hills is bound by Dyke Marsh Wildlife Preserve to the north and Huntley Meadows Park to the west. Dyke Marsh provides visitors an opportunity to get out on the water, with kayak and canoe rentals available from the Belle Haven Marina. The 1,500-acre Huntley Meadows boasts 12 miles of trails, open fields, wetlands, and forests that are perfect for exploring. As the largest park in Fairfax County, residents can always find something fun to do here.
