The Hollindale real estate market was originally part of the Hollin Hall plantation, and several historical estates still exist within the community. While the land changed hands many times over the years, it wasn't until after the Second World War that residential development began in the community's three subdivisions — Hollindale, Kirkside, and Hollin Brook Park. The homes for sale in Hollindale are primarily mid-market to upscale single-family homes. Home styles are primarily traditional, though you will also find some Hollin Hills homes in a mid-century modern style. At the top end of the market you'll find spacious 4,000+ sq. ft. homes, typically built in a colonial style. Some of these homes are situated on wooded lots that can be up to half an acre in size. At the lower end of the market in this community split-level and split foyer-style homes, ranging in size from around 1,300 to 2,000 square feet.
